Brewery Spotlight

Foam Brewers

An eclectic group of industry professionals shared the same appreciation towards brewing as they did for music, culture, art, and science, and thus, Foam Brewers was born in Burlington, Vermont, on the shores of Lake Champlain. Foam Brewers founders Todd Haire, Sam Keane, Jon Farmer, Robert Grim, and Dani Casey found an unconscious calling towards brewing, something they had always been fascinated with.

All five founders have a different story to tell when it comes to starting their brewery, but they have one common ground – their love for brewing.  The founders, especially Haire, Keane, and Grim, went through a lot of hoops before Foam Brewers was established and officially opened on April 28, 2016 on Burlington’s scenic waterfront.

The brewery started by serving artisanal small-batch beers that were all brewed on-premise, in a state-of-the-art brewhouse from Bennett Forgeworks. Within a few years, they have come a long way from brewing small batches to a wide variety of interesting beer with carefully constructed food pairing.

What makes them one of the best?

Foam is an important part of beer, as great beer has always sat under a thick layer of foam. Foam is not an ingredient of strength, but in fact, it is simply a visual excitement above a structure of strength. The foam makes it all better – the visual excitement that it provides is like an unconscious calling towards a cool beer on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Foam Brewers believe that the beer foam is a sign of a great beer. Every beer that comes from their tap offers you the visual effect and the excitement that foam offers. The pleasure of watching the thick layer of foam floating over the freshly brewed beer poured into a glass is mesmerizing, and Foam Brewers offers just that, with an ambiance and music that you would never want to leave.
